Acharya

Jivan Acharya is a Nepali badminton player who has represented Nepal in major national and international competitions. He has competed in men’s singles, men’s doubles, mixed doubles, and team events.

Acharya has been part of Nepal’s senior badminton structure for several years and has represented Nepal Police Club in national competitions. His career includes participation in the South Asian Games, Asian Games and international badminton tournaments.

His international career includes representation at the 13th South Asian Games in 2019 and the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou in 2023. At the 2019 South Asian Games, he was part of Nepal’s men’s badminton team that won the bronze medal.

At the Asian Games, Acharya competed in the men’s team event, men’s doubles and mixed doubles. In men’s doubles, he partnered with Bishnu Katuwal and advanced to the Round of 16 after defeating the Maldives pair. The pair subsequently faced Singapore.

Acharya has also established himself as a regular participant in Nepal’s national ranking and open badminton tournaments. His national record includes appearances in major ranking events, semifinal-level performances in national competitions and continued participation in Nepal’s senior badminton circuit.
